I, Ana Nensey, am a saree enthusiast; a lover of the 6 yards of ethereal elegance. It is no surprise that I gravitated to being a saree curator to bring some of the most exclusive sarees to the Indian diaspora in the UAE.
Every state in India prides on its native weavers, that generation after generation, work the loom to churn out exquisite sarees. The iridescent and lustrous Kanjivaram from Tamil Nadu, the strikingly imperial Banarasis from Uttar Pradesh, the weightless, pastel Chanderis from Madhya Pradesh, the colorful, eclectic Kanthas from West Bengal, the intricately crafted Madhubanis from Bihar, the Balucharis, the Bomkais, the Jamdanis…the list goes on.
The mission is to offer a collection of carefully curated sarees from across India to expatriate Indians across the globe. Giving them the ease of shopping authentic, exclusive sarees online, from the comfort of their homes, and offering a more traditional shopping experience to conventional buyers, through a cozy boutique.
The plan is to connect the global saree lovers to the Indian saree-makers from the loom-crammed narrow lanes in ancient towns.
